I believe art should be accessible to all communities, and artist talks are important ways for the public to connect with art. I enjoy demystifying aspects of being a professional artist during my talks by speaking about my process, my source of inspiration, as well as some of my career decision making.
Below, you will find some recordings of my past artist talks.
My collaborator (Nat Power) and I giving one of our first artist talks in 2018 at the Elisabet Ney Museum in Austin, TX. Hosted by Future Front, then known as Boss Babes ATX. Photography by Jinni J.
Nat and I took our work to Houston and gave an artist talk at Art League Houston on our Summer show.
Meow Wolf Grapevine Artist Liaison Will Heron talks with me about my original paintings and my mural work at Meow Wolf Grapevine’s Front of House area. We took questions from the audience, a lot of whom were young artists looking for career advice.
Kevin Ivester, owner of Ivester Contemporary in Austin, TX, interviews Nat and I on our collaborative work, Through a Hinge Made Obligue
